LED lights will become mainstream lighting products

Ministry of Environmental Protection announced on July 20 that the “Minamata Convention on Mercury” will enter into force on 16 August 2017, and since 2021, China will phase out the production of mercury-containing batteries and fluorescent products required by the Minamata Convention on Mercury and use. By 2032, it was necessary to shut down all the raw mercury mines.

Yu Tufeng, deputy director of the Center for Environmental Protection and Environmental Protection of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, announced China’s compliance schedule at a press conference: China will phase out the production of mercury-containing batteries and fluorescent products required by the Minamata Convention on Mercury from 2021 Use; VCM (vinyl chloride, mercury production will produce mercury) production industry to achieve the use of unit products in 2021 reduced by 50% (on the basis of 2010); by 2032, to shut down all the original mercury mine mining; Coal mine electric field emission sources, to complete the emission system by 2020, a clear focus on control of sources, to determine emission reduction targets and measures.
